Cook Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes
Servings: 60 pieces

Ingredients

  • 1 24- ounce package of almond bark chopped into smaller pieces
  • 1 24- ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 16- ounce jars of roasted salted peanuts
  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Place the peanuts at the bottom of your crockpot to create the first layer. Next, add the chopped almond bark, and finally, sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  • Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to cook on low heat. Let it melt for 1 hour, then remove the lid and stir the mixture thoroughly. Replace the lid and allow it to cook for another 30 minutes, stirring again until the chocolate mixture is smooth. If the chocolate hasn’t completely melted, re-cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment or wax paper. Use a spoon to drop dollops of the chocolate and peanut mixture onto the lined sheets, leaving about an inch of space between each candy piece. If desired, sprinkle toppings immediately before the mixture starts to set.
  • Transfer the baking sheets to the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the candy to firm up (this method is preferred). Alternatively, let the candy set at room temperature for about 4 hours.

Notes

  • Avoid letting condensation from the crockpot lid drip into the candy mixture when opening the lid; water can ruin the chocolate consistency.
  • Yields approximately 60-100 candies, depending on the size of each piece.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or refrigerate for up to one month.
