Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 –2 tablespoons of Manuka or regular honey
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 –2 tablespoons cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 large onion
  • Whole clove of garlic
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 3 kiwi
  • 10 fingers of turmeric lightly peeled
  • Palm-sized piece of ginger lightly peeled
  • 1 orange include a quarter of the peel
  • 2 –3 lemons
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 16 ounces of water or tangy lemonade plus additional water to dilute as needed

Instructions

  • Begin by roughly chopping all fruits and vegetables to make blending more efficient and even. There's no need for perfect cuts—just make sure the pieces are small enough to move smoothly through the blender.
  • Transfer the chopped produce, along with the remaining ingredients, into a high-powered blender. Blend on high until the mixture is completely puréed and uniform in texture.
  • For a smoother finish, pass the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible. This step is optional but ideal if you prefer a more refined tonic.
  • Pour the liquid into silicone ice cube trays and place them in the freezer until solid. Once frozen, pop the cubes out and store them in a zip-top freezer bag for convenient daily use.
  • To enjoy, drop a frozen cube into a small glass of water or juice. Stir until dissolved, and sip slowly to enjoy its bright, spicy, and revitalizing flavors.
